You guys are making me feel old. In July it will be 43 years for us. On a happier note ;) we are doing Easter at our place today. Fill my face with ham and tators. Then later the dinner buns with too much butter and more ham. Yum. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys. 35 here and supposed to be in the 40s with a chance of rain like LPS said. Certainly haven't gotten the rain like they forecasted. Ya, spending big money on a wedding is a big waste of money. Seems like most of them end up splitsville anyway. We had a small group and went to the judge in Anoka county then went out to dinner after. We put the money we won have spent on the wedding into our first house instead. Well, I made it out yesterday afternoon for the final day of walleye season and it was pretty good. My smallest walleye was 15" and even got a bonus pike to. Nicest fish I have had all season. Have a good one boys.

JB........how far are you from where they set up tipups for them big gators this time of year????? is that closed now to??????

JB gets all the nice fish... :pouty:

Mornin' comrades! 45 at choretime and that's about where it'll stay until later when it cools down. .02" of rain overnight & this a.m. Forecast sucks right now but the way they've been changing it almost hourly, you could take a dartboard and probably do as well. Just got done with more agrotourism. The Pioneer agronomist brought her two little boys up to see the sheep & Poppy. The boys are a couple livewires. I don't know how the young lady does it, knowing the demands of her job and then come home to deal with those two wild Indians. Got another article to write for Monday so the crummy days should be good for that. Agreed on the wedding. Should something happen, I would never do it again, period. I've missed out on too many hunting and fishing trips the way it is. As I always say, it'll be 39 years in Sept. Seems longer than that.

Glenn, I was a long ways away from where the pike are targeted. I was out on a reef about 3 miles north of Long Point. The pike season on lake of the woods never closes. So they are still fishing for those.

I married for the first time when I was 33.  I was the guy that got to go to all of the fishing and hunting trips.  Actually while I was married too since we had no kids.  Was married for 9 years and then called it quits.  Wasn't happy.  Was single for about 10 years but always had my eye open for the right woman.  Finally found her and knew right away that she was the one.  Will be 15 years of happiness in Oct.   :happy1: :happy1:

You sure can spear on lake of the woods. The one neighbor has done it a time or 2 out front here. Otherwise there are some resorts on bostic bay that do spear as soon as the bay freezes up at the beginning of the season. I would like to try it someday. So now boober will know.  :rotflmao:

Good morning all.  Man someone ticked off Ma Nature.   Cold, wet and WINDY up here this morning.  Good day to spend in the shop.   Maybe get the long rods spooled up and tackle organized.  About time to clean out the truck of winter tackle.   Never know what you might find in there.

Morning boys.  I need to catch up on the news it sounds.  It just went up to 29 and is windy as heck.  We have a good inch of snow covering everything.  Just like the middle of Jan here.     Gonna get that haircut today so I look good for my cataract surgery on Wed.  The juncos are really having a good time today.  Fighting and chasing each other around the feeder.  Good thing I filled it yesterday.  Got the tracks off the Grizzly yesterday.  It's like an Italian sports car now with the wheels on it.  Much easier to steer.  The river has come up some so the dock is floating now.  Still have a foot of snow around the roll in dock so waiting on that part of the program.  A few days ago there was hardly any water at the Rapids and yesterday it was roaring through there.  The Baudette river hasn't broken up yet so the Forks probably haven't neither.  We will get a bunch of big ice chunks coming down when that happens.  Don't like to put the dock out till after they open up so all of that ice doesn't pile up on the dock.  Well time for another cup.   Have a good one boys.  Root those Twins on today at noonish.

Mornin' comrades! 32 at choretime with highs around 35. .2" of rain & a quarter inch of snow. Got some cinnamon rolls rising, be ready for the oven in a half hour. Very sad news on the deputy shot & killed. I concur glenn. What is wrong with people?
