G'morning All. A bit chilly at 21 but at least the wind quit.   Not real sure what the day has planned.  Have projects to get done...just pick one or two.

Have a great day all.

Need to work on some bingo things today to be ready for it. Hope it goes well Friday, I can use the sleep I'm losing worrying about it. Other than that it's still too wet and the yard is too soft to do any thing around here. So I'll sit in the chair and watch it for a few more days. Several lakes around here look like they are ready to open. I expect that in the next four or five days. Later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' comrades! 27 overnite, 31 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-50's. Rain likely overnite so interesting to see what happens later this afternoon if the ground grays off. Most are thinking they'll leave the planter in the shed. Likely a wise move given the forecast. Not going to get a lot done anyway so why put it in the ground at increased risk? Otherwise not too hectic. Have a print deadline to make this a.m. then go look at some alfalfa that appears to be struggling. Think it got cut after Sept. 1st so that was their 1st mistake. After that I'd better plop another round bale in the one feeder. Lambs are starting to blow thru it now. This rain should help the pastures so hopefully weaning can happen sooner than later.

That sounds very positive Glenn.  That is great!  After the mandatory after lunch nap with my 82 lb lap dog I thought I better do a few things.  I got the fish house off the snow bank on the shore of the river.   It had sunk into the snow bank it was sitting on with the skis on.  So took some winch and putting boards under the tires to jack it up and then it came right up.  So got that up at the ranch.  Put the Ultra Cool 98 Ski Doo Grand Touring 583 on the snowmobile trailer.  Also put my homemade 4x8 utility trailer behind the barn with the rest of them. I knew Mikey was having a cold something so I am too.  I read that when they do the cataract surgery that you don't feel a thing and you just feel cool water flowing over your eye at times.  Even though you are awake but out of it and you don't see the tools doing the job on your eye.  I suppose it is lazer or similar.  My back is killing me so that is grounds for one more right?  I have a vibrator in my office chair and didn't use it for years.  Then I started using it when I had a back ache and it really helps.  Will be standard on any office chair I ever have.  FYI

Morning boys. 30 here and heading for 39 today. Sounds like we have some snow coming tomorrow and Friday. Time will tell. Good luck with the eye surgery today Barry!!  When they did my first eye it was like you described. I think the ultra bright light was the hardest part. When they did my 2nd eye there was something goofy and I could feel it hurt as he pulled on the lense. I said ouch and the doctor says. You can feel that? And I said yes I can feel it. Then they put more stuff in. My first eye was crystal clear right away. My 2nd eye was all cloudy after. The eye doc said the cloudy is normal for about a week. You will be amazed how much brighter everything is, how white white becomes. Sunglasses will be needed more. Well just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  Can't have anything to eat before I go so of course I was dreaming of a big thick Porterhouse for breakfast.  Juice was running out of it.  No water either except when I take my morning pills.  That is relative to how much it takes to get it down, right?  Sure looking forward to it being done.  Then we have to go back down tomorrow at 9:30 for a checkup.  They would have given us a coupon to stay at one of the motels there but don't want to put the dogs in their outside kennel overnight cuz it's too cold for ol Buddy.  Lot of windshield time. Same program for next Wed. and Thur.  Oh well, that's life in the fast lane.   :sleazy:  I will be hungry by the time it is done today.  Thinking Arby's or Perkins afterwards.  Hope this weather doesn't deteriorate during this time frame.  Have a good one boys.

Mornin' comrades! 41 at choretime heading for a high in the low 50's. .5" of rain the past 24 hrs. at the ranch & .52" in Bugtussle. Nice rain but it's supposed to come back with an encore performance tonite. It'll set off the crabby meter with area farmers pretty quick. Plopped the round bale in the lot after work yesterday, did chores then worked on getting the yard back into shape until dark. Lotsa sod, crushed rock & assorted debris. Must've had the blower set more aggressive than I thought judging by all the rock. Flung most of the dog terds into the ditch so there was that. Good luck Barry!

There's always a chance of a drought but most sources are lukewarm on its severity. An El NiƱo event is expected to develop sometime this late spring into summer, with increasing odds as we head towards fall.  That tends to give us drier conditions but it is no guarantee either. The timing of its development, intensity and duration have a lot to say about that.

Good morning All.   35 windy, again, and just a light rain made things a bit wet.  Was expecting it to be white this morning but looks like that might start later.   Its MN so who knows. Planning to string up a few long rods and get ready for the season anyway.

Morning boys.  It is 34 here and just started trying to snow.  Some big flakes and some small ones.  The ground is just starting to get white.  I can see Miley great now thank you.  LOL  I am 20/20 now with the new eye.  They took the lens out of my glasses but the old eye is quite a bit worse than the new one so just going without for now.  I think I will get glasses with cheaters on the bottom and wear them most of the time.  Nice to not have to put them on in the night if I have to let the dogs out or I have to pee.  I still reached for them out of habit.  Will be nice to have the other eye  done too so they are the same.  That will be next Wed.  We told the Dr. about this weather and he said well go get some lunch and stop back and I will see how it is so you don't have to come back tomorrow.  That was great of him.  We will do the same thing next week.  Huge to not have to drive back 200 miles round trip for a 10 minute checkup.  So great that youse guys even thought of us.  Thanks my friends.  You too Glenn.  LOL JK.  JB do you have one eye for close and one eye for far away?  Then let the brain adjust them?  If I close my bad eye and look around I can see amazingly clear.  My computer is real bright too.  Surprised me. Has been a little itchy but not bad.  I use a cold wet wash cloth on it then.  Works good.  It is a day of rest for me so we will see how that all pans out.  LOL  Just staying out  of trouble is the name of the game today.  May even have a second cup of coffee.  Usually only do that on weekends.

Just read on the LOW thread that the big Fork hasn't opened up yet so all of the ice and lumber that came down was all from the Little Fork.
