Morning boys. 37 here and may make 49. What beautiful afternoon to be on the ice yesterday. I have the red face to prove it. Decided to run to a reef couple miles north of long point. Didn't catch a lot of fish. But I did come back with 4 really nice walleyes. Tried the evening bite out front in shallow too. That was a bust. Added 1 nice saugers to the bucket though. The ice over the sand bars is starting to show some signs of defeat. There are holes thru where you can see lake bottom. I was planning to fish this morning. But the heck with it. Think I am hanging up the auger for the season. Need to get some stuff done. First thing will be to load the wood shed today. About it here. Have a good one boys.

Mornin guys, we had 37 @ 1st peek & we're looking for 54 later. A chance for some rain here this morning too, but there's a better chance (76%) of some tonight. I still had some stuff to put away from dock project yday. We have a way we try to protect our septic system every year when we leave & some of that was thawed enough to get put back where it usually is stored. That's along the south tree line so much of that is still froze to the ground. They trimmed some trees where our power comes on the property last fall after we left & there's a lot to picking up there too. A lot of that is still froze to the ground there too. Go & get a paper is next on the agenda though. After that ...................we'll see. Have a good day.

Made it to Cambridge and back with no issues. A little over half was picked up yesterday, the rest is in my garage. We have a few extra bags, but there's three sportsmen's meeting this week and we shouldn't have any problem getting rid of it. Going to take a break today, maybe start a take it to the dump pile of junk from around here. Later........ :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  Another nice morning.  We have 39 and are headed into the 50's.  Rain possible the next hour or so.  Then like said up to an inch of snow tonight.  They had been saying 2-4 so they lightened up on that.  Man we got a lot done yesterday.  Cut up some crappy willow and loaded up the firepit with it.  Burns like crap so just piled it on.  Cleaned up nicely.  I was so sore during the night I had to get up and take some Tylenol about 4 this morning.  It helped.  Will try to keep it a little more tame today.  Will watch some Masters.  Have a good one.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! Fitty one at choretime, heading for a high in the low seffen dees. A decent chance of rain late afternoon but less than a tenth forecast. I finished pruning my buddy's apple & pear trees yesterday a.m. Actually only pruned the older pear tree. The new one they planted last year was about perfectly shaped. Pruning it wouldn't have benefitted it this time around. Their trees really look nice. They had apple up the ying yang last year. I got 3 bottles of homemade wine out of the deal. Got a trailer load of hay yesterday afternoon. Took longer to hook up & air up the tires than it did to load the hay. 4 of us doing it had it loaded in about 15 minutes. Cleaned up the gravel off the lawn, took the covering off the astilbe, coral bells and bleeding heart then watered the garden a la glenn. It should rain now! Got hay to unload, tree messes to clean up and should charge the Stude battery. Better get at it. We're burnin' daylight... :coffee:

Morning boys. 34 here and kinda raining, snowing mixture. Supposed to do that for awhile today. At least it is crappy on Monday. The weather was pretty nice over the weekend. I loaded the wood shed up pretty good yesterday. Starting to come up with a plan for the broken ramp. Just need some more melting to occur. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Mornin all, we had 36 early & it looks like about 40 will be our high. It was spitting a little when I stepped out back too & it didn't feel like it was all rain either. It looks like it might be wet most of the day here. I did get another load of the stuff they cleared along the power lines picked up & deposited in the woods yday after we got the paper. Another pc of the septic's winter coat went back to bed as well. Not certain where I'll start this day yet. Hopin your Monday's a good 1.

Morning boys.  We have a wet 33 here at the moment.  Looks like it may be spitting all day.  Could get to 41.  We do have water dripping off the roof on the bird feeder.  I got trained in Chicken Wrangling yesterday.  My buddy is headed to Orlando for a week of fun so I hope those chickens lay a bunch of eggs for me.  I start on Wed.  Well I am not sure what to do with this moisture coming down.  It will help green things up but will be too wet to play outside.  Will have to do some reading.  Have a good one.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 42 at choretime heading for a high in the low fitties. .02" of rain at the ranch & a trace in Bugtussle the past 24 hrs. Some farmers getting more antsy with every passing day. Others are taking advantage of the dry conditions, doing the things they should and not rushing things. Being in a hurry to plant corn is seldom a good idea and in a hurry to plant soybeans, well, let's just say a trip to the shrink is in your future. They live among us... :coffee: I got my hay unloaded & stacked yesterday then tackled the worst tree issue I had, a dead boxelder that broke off about 12' up that landed on the fence. I got it off the fence shortly afterwards but it looked like hell. Was able to put the upper part of the tree on the burn pile with the tractor & loader, then knocked the rest of it down. Plopped that on top of the burn pile so that should make a great bonfire.

Good morning All.   33 and just enough moisture in the form of light rain and snow.  Wind is cranking pretty good.  Here too is calling for high 30s possible 40.   Good day to spend in the shop where it is dry and 67 degrees.  Feels more like Oct.   Just give us a real good spring rain!!!

Have a great day.

After one major setback last week my daughter-in-law is scheduled to come back home later today. She still has quite a ways to go but she will be glad to be home. The grandkids will probably go back home today too. They miss being home, something would be wrong if they didn't. We love those kids immeasurably but it will be good for the warden and I to get back to "normal" too.

Morning boys.  We have 32 and should see 47 I guess.  Yesterday was windy.  They say breezy today and windy tomorrow.     Tis the season.  Pretty gray here so far today.  Think I will shovel the rest of the snow out of the outside kennel today.  It is on the north side of the barn so about a foot deep yet.  Have a Dr. checkup tomorrow at 8:10.  Man that is early for me to do anything.  May have to get up early.  Have a good Tuesday.
