Holy cow that would feed me and the wife for like a week or more (but she would get tired of it before then.)

I can eat the same thing for days if it is good.  The wife gets tired of things before I do.  And yes it will last a few days.  When I make soups, chili etc I fill the 6 qt pot right to the top.  I do freeze things if we can't eat it all too.

I do the same thing LPS.  Make way more than the wife and I can eat for a few meals then freeze it.

Being in that retired mode now, those frozen containers are great for me to grab and head to the cabin with. :happy1: :rotflmao:

I have 6 baked chicken thighs leftover from last night so I am going to make chicken soup.  Will sautee onions, carrots, celery, garlic in a large pot.  Then add chicken broth,  , spices and then the chicken meat off the bones.  Bring to a boil then down to simmer till it is time to eat.  May add a can of cream of something soup to smooth it out a bit.  We shall see.

I added a pkg of extra wide eggs noodles so added more broth and even some water.  Threw in 2 little cans of mushrooms to really add the earthy touch.   :happy1:

Same here LPS, but when I found out it was really high in cholesterol I gave it up.  Liver sausage is really good. Back in the day we made our own liver and blood sausage. Went and got real cream from the creamery, dipped homemade bread in the cream  added sugar  :wowza:.

No wonder I take meds now!!  :doah:

I do get a chunk of braunschweiger now and then but no liver anymore.  It was so cheap me and my buddies used to get it back when we were young bachelors.
