Just talked to my friend doing the fish house build.  He knows a lot of people here and he just told me that.  A bomber went down up at the Angle.  Didn't know which resort.  And yes someone died.  Time to take a step back and rethink this ice fishing thing.

I think about the crazy risks I took on the ice when I was young.

Hey hey from da cabin. Yea the ice here is horrible looking.  There water on top of the ice along the shoreline.  The ice out further looks  black as black  can get. No effin way should anyone go on the ice, even up here.

And it's amazing what a  new phone and  AT&T SERVICE  is here.

Still have one permanent house on the ice that’s been out since the middle of November.  I keep waiting for it to drop through. Probably not safe to get to it now.

From what I have gathered of info here.  The bomber went down and the driver went in and got one guy out but couldn't get the second guy that was with him out.  SO SAD.  Time for the resorts to shut it down for a few weeks.  Too bad that a life was lost in this terrible start of a ice making winter.  I also heard Ballards shut it down till after the first of the year.  KUDOS to them.

AND a big KUDOS to the driver to go back in and save one guy!!!  Red Foxx may be who he was driving for.  This is what I heard so don't take it to the bank.

So the owner of Red Fox is the brother of our boss. It was my boss's nephew who was driving. 18-19 years old. The word I got was there were 8 passengers in the bomber. The neighbor showed me a picture of it from the book of faces. In the picture it was still half out of the water. The driver was following the staked trail which is the scary part. Guess the water was 10' deep where it went in.

Thing I wonder if if he jumped out in a panic and then went under that they needed a dive team. Or was he in the bomber. Plus all resorts are required by law to have floating devices on there machines in case they do go through. Wondering this was a private machine and just related to the resort owner. The picture I seen of the bomber it was no completely under. Lots of questions I will probably never know the answers too.

Right. I'm sure he will say how great the ice is and the walleyes are jumping out of the holes.  It would be nice if he would just give a realistic report.

There’s a portable that appeared on the ice this morning, in really shallow water and close to shore. The lake is groaning and grunting this morning still making some ice.
