Hello All!

Its a quiet night up here on the pond and I am a little bored myself. As soon as the wind calms I am hitting the lake! I just found this site tonight. I have to say I am glad I did. This is really cool. I have not spent much time on-line but today we got high speed internet so maybe I will use it more. I am a full-time fisherman up here on Mille Lacs. I am 42 years old and have been in these part my whole life. I was born and raised in Aitkin and lived around the lake since then. I'm going to break the 30 in. mark tonight. I'm getting pretty pumped.

Anyways, neat place and thanks.

Howdy,

I'm Creek Jenkins, 51, professional tourist.

Mostly like the shooting sports but will fish if I have to.? If we could only combine shooting and fishing.........

Some people axe me if I have lived here on the Range all my life, to which I reply "No, not yet".

cheers

My name is Rob Gross, of Spring Grove , Minnesota.  I am the Houston County Veteran Service Officer in Houston County MN.

In my freetime, I teach a local youth fishing program in SE Minnesota called The Fishing Tree, www.thefishingtree.com .  I try not only to educate children (young & not so young) on fishing, species, habitat, lure selection and techniques, but also try to equip them with proper gear to start them off right.  I dedicate much of my free time towards this venture.  I'm a heavy advocate of the 'Take a Kid Fishing' approach in hopes of building a new generation of angler and ensuring a strong love for fishing in the Midwest .

I also run The Fishing Tree Bass Guide Service on the Mississippi River Pools 8 & 9 and The Fishing Tree Trout Guide Service on numerous streams in SE Minnesota and NE Iowa with all profits above expenses going to support local youth fishing.  And for fun I design bass lures and am currently working toward the production of a new line of frog lures.
I never caught a fish I couldn't catch....?

Brent her. Just found the site today from an email. 33 years old. I work for BASF as a lab tech in shakopee where we develop industrial coatings, sealants, waterproofers....anything that goes on or in concrete. Live in Maple Grove MN. Got hooked into muskie fishing 3 years ago so that takes up 95% of my time on the water. I fish about 3 times a week out of my 92 17.5 sportfish. Ice fishing I generally turn to crappies or flaggin for big fish but can occasionally make time for a walleye  outing. I fish mainly west mertro lakes including sarah, eagle, medicine, tonka  and fish lake. I try and make one trip to URL a year and occasionally millelacs. I also get into deer rifle season with little success so giving bow hunting a shot next year. The only problem is that it will be hard to pick between bow hunting and the late fall muskie/pig walleye fishing.
Great site as far as I have seen so far.

Thanks for the welcome, I actually get up that side of the lake more often. My wifes family has a place on Farm Island Lake just north of there.

I hear they will be pulling houses at the resorts pretty soon. I guess I better send my bill in... ;D

Hi I am Lennie. I wan't to thank all of you guys for welcoming me to your website. About me, I am originaly from Michigan I lived there all my life. I moved to MN in 1991 just for a change of life.  All though there is a lot of good deer hunting and fishing in Michigan I still had to check out MN. I was here in MN for 13 years I do have to admit you have some big crappies here all though we do have big steel head and salmon. I lived in Michigan/ indiana border line. 8 miles north of southbend Indiana. I really haven't seen to many big bucks here, maybe because the only land I have to hunt on is state land (carlos avery) I live in Rogers MN and I did kill a 11 point buck behind the house I am living at with permision from the land owner. I have pictures on the website if you want to take a look. I'm very much a outdoor person, hunting fishing of all sorts. I would like to get to know one of the members here to hook up has a hunting buddy, fishing buddy, etc. Just to share each other stories. I'm always eager to learn new tatics on hunting and fishing. I am 53 and been hunting and fishing since I was 4 years old. So I've pretty much seen it all. and if I would die to day I could say I have been well blessed by God to hunt and fish on his land. Thank you guys for you time. I hope to hear from someone of you guys to share stories and maybe plan a hunting or fishing trip. If you get tired of fishing or hunting by yourself all you have to do is shake a worm in front of my face let me smell gun powder or put a arrow in front of my face and I'm gone. lol Thanks guys hope to hear from someone.

I love the site. I am 35, been married 15 yrs with 2 boys ages 11 and 8. We love hunting and camping. I grew up in Bemidji and moved to Mpls when I met my wife. After kids graduate we will be moving back to Bemidji. Kind of hard to step out into the back yard and shoot trap in Mpls. Anyway love the site and love to hear from locals.
