You staying out of the mud Reb?  ;)

'mornin'! Woke up yesterday with a sore neck. Now it's to the point where I can't turn my head to the left more than partway. Also smarts if I step or grab something wrong. Not to worry. Happened about 15 years ago and took a few weeks to work itself out. In the meantime I feel a little like Eyegor in Young Frankenstein.

Hope yer wife is doin' OK glenn!  :happy1:

Geesh! That's not very nice of them. When did they decide to do all this?

Last year...2 days before Thanksgiving, colder than hell, and a big snowstorm. Apparently the lines are all old and need replacing with plastic ones and new meters. Told me my driveway wouldn't be usable, and the yard would have an 8' x 12' by 6- deep hole in it, which they'd fill in and "reseed and level in the Spring", not to mention that "the driveway would be repoured later that week" Not to mention my gas would be shut off for half a day, which also means no hot water.  Smart-ass actually said "you won't freeze". Won't say what happened when I then went face-to-face with the arrogant ass who told me this, but they put it off until now. Some company big shot called me last Friday, and explained they would be starting now. He also asked if it was necessary to have the police present, as I had seriously "made his "foreman" very apprehensive last year". I told him his "foreman" picked the wrong time and the wrong guy to get pushy with. Maybe they should do this BEFORE a snowstorm and freezing weather.  They seem to be working right well with me at this time.   :coffee:

ya, Reb, you would think they would pick a better time than right now.  They cant wait till next spring or are the lines so bad that it may cause a safety issue?  Down the road they are tearing up two blocks of driveways re-doing a road and making it wider.  I see this is other places also.  good luck.

Now is OK, 'cuz it's still warm...but why not do this crap in the Spring/Summer?  They KNOW it needs re-doing! Now I'll have a huge dirt seeded area in my yard, not established come Spring. T-storms tonite too, before they do the lawn "rejuvenation". Just makes no sense to me. Been super nice all week, they did the marking and flagging LAST week. Shoulda been on top of  it Monday morning.  I put a hell of a lot of work into my lawn, and I can see this is going to make me do a lot more. Something I really can't do physically anymore, either.   :banghead:

I know what you mean. Hopefully they get at it and get it done before the snow flies. They diddled around on a street project a couple years ago here in town and just barely got it done before freeze up. Some of the concrete has been suspect as a result. I think people were so darn sick of the outfit that did the work though they were just glad to have them out of town.

Supposed to be done tomorrow.  That's when they rip out my driveway slab and then repour it in the afternoon. Fortunately, the concrete company/owner that is doing it is my buddy..... ;)
Yard crew comes next week to re-seed and rake/smooth all the grand canyon's.

Morning all....a tad chilly this am. 42* and windy here. Frost tonite and tomorrow am, they say, but will be a sunny day. Have some thick pig chops marinating in apple cider to go on the indoor grill later. Figger I'll need some heat in here by then; it's 668 in here right now. Just right. That furnace ain't going on until it won't get past 62-64* in here with daily activities. Plus, my gas will bo off half the day while they finish running lines, putting on the new meters, and wrecking my yard and driveway today. Supposed to be finished by afternoon. Sun will warm things up anyway. Cooler indoor temps keep ya healthier anyway, proven fact. That's what soup and good food is for...to warm ya up.
Have a good day guys, and if ya see a gas company truck park in front of yer house, get out the shotgun.  ;)

Looks like Rebs will be over at the neighbor ladies for a few days.  They will not get that job done on a Friday.  No way.  It will have to wait till Monday.  SO he will be slinking over there after dark when the other neighbors won't be able to see him.    Hey I just see the Cards won last night.  That is who I picked in the work pool.  I hope Butt Kapernick didn't get to play.  I only watched till halftime.  Well I will check in later.

Morning all. 37* here this morning. Down to 61* in the house. We are resisting the urge to turn on the heat, but this morning made it al little harder to resist. Sure does make for nice sleeping though. Thinking we are going to have to pull all the tomatoes tonight and put them in the garage. I am thinking of trying to make some green tomato salsa. I was looking for recipes last night and I think I found one that sounds good. Will have to give it a try. Have a good weekend all!!
Hey look your bobber is up!

LPS, is slinking the word of the day? I will use it in a sentence.  Glenn had to utilize slinking maneuvers to escape Reb's wrath.   ;D

'mornin'! Neck seems to be on the mend after rubbing it down with some capzasin last night. Sore but not the stabbing pain today when moving wrong. May be able to run fast enough now to escape Mrs. Cheviot's advances rather than locking myself in the bathroom. Low was 37 at the Waseca airport and 39 at the SROC there. Forgot to look at the thermo meter here. Another .46" of rain at the ranch and .62" in town. Sounds like a nice weekend to get the Stude out and check out the leaves.
