Good morning gentleman. Shiny 39 degrees in International Falls this morning. Roof eaves are dripping. Dirty road side snow is showing up which really is a sign of spring isn't it? They are saying 40 to day and maybe again tomorrow. I'll certainly take it.

As Barry said we hit 45 here yesterday. I went out to Thunderbird Lodge for lunch. Busy, busy place. Snowmobilers everywhere. They built a small bar out of block lake ice with a fire going out on the lake. This weather has people moving around everywhere. Lots of fisherman on the lakes.

Have a great Super Bowl, bet on the Chiefs.   ;)

Morning boys. 20 and heading for upper 30s. If it is like the last 2 days we will go well I to the 40s. We t hit 47 here yesterday. Fished until 3 and only had 3 keepers. Then the wife and I decided to hop on the bearcat and go for a little ride to check out what the loggers have done up by us. Then decided to make a loop thru Zipple bay State Park. It was a nice little ride. Well getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Mornin gang, 25 here & headed for 43. We're headed for Des Moines this afternoon as there's another appt at the eye clinic early tomorrow & Wednesday. Surgery & a post-op exam this time though. It may reach 60, 57 is forecasted, down there today. We'll have the laptop along so I may stay in touch, but we'll see. Probably won't leave here 'til ~12:30-1 so I'll still do my morning stuff. No more now, have a good 1.

Morning boys.  Pre-op???  Are you having eye surgery Gunner?  I have a cataract and can tell it is getting blurrier so my time is coming too.  JB had it done I think.  Well I am a little wealthier after my SB wins.  Doesn't happen often though.  LOL  I got a call yesterday that the qtr of beef we ordered is about done and I may be able to pick it up later this week.  Been hanging for 2 weeks.  Good stuff.  Hope the butcher doesn't screw this up or I will be pissed.  The people I get the beef from are real fussy so I am sure she jacked him up some.  It is sure nice to see it getting light out so much earlier now.  Well have a good one boys.

No, my brother needs a cornea transplant & has cataracts too. But they won't do the cataracts until his cornea is repaired. All the pre-op stuff is done & they want a post-op exam the next day, then again in a week, then another in about a month.

Good morning everyone. 20 degrees this fine morning in International Falls Mn. They are predicting low 40's again today. Starting to see a couple of patches of brown grass and dirt where the plow had gone. Warm sun sure feels good coming in the window.

Very good second half last night. Didn't see much of the first half as I was finishing up a cowboy movie. I must not be much of a music fan. Singleton I thought was ok nothing more nothing less. I'm not a fan of these singers putting their own stamp on the songs. Just sing the damn thing the way we grew up listening to it.

In following the thread for a while now I've determined JB has all the good toys! The salt mine seems to be treating him well.   :happy1:

Stay safe and have fun today boys.

Mornin' comrades! 20 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-40's. That should make it sloppy around the yard. No newbies overnite. We got a bunch of ewes and lambs docked, vaccinated & tagged yesterday so we moved 5 pens worth during evening chores last nite. We did 2 more pens that can be moved if we need the space. Mrs. Cheviot was able to hang onto the lambs but for the most part I had to catch the ewes and hold them for the CD & T vaccination. I also hauled the lambs with the ewes following down to the loafing area. I thought the wife did well to do as much as she did though. Any little bit she can do helps. Freed up a lot of room so we're not climbing over pens for now anyway. The pens we moved are happier with their new digs, with the lambs hopping and bouncing in the fresh straw. The garbage truck came by a little bit ago. Poppy had a hissy fit especially since the full dumpster was froze down. Was taking a while so after seeing what was going on, I put my coat on to get my pry bar. About the time I was heading out the door he got it loose. Now I can throw crap away again!  :happy1:

Hopefully she's OK  Glenn.  Evening peoples,  speaking of our folks I gotta call from Pops this afternoon, they're down south but the manager from there building up here contacted them with a complaint of a serious " stench" coming from there unit. So I swang over this afternoon and sure enough da fridge took a poop. The fridge didn't have much in it besides condiments but tge freezer had quite a bit. The maintenance guy was there and sounds like a new one will go in tomorrow,  I shoulda took a pic of what was in it so I could stock the new one,  oh well maybe I'll guess...See ya!!

Thanks guys, it's getting old. And you can tell she feels like wholly hell. They can't do it in st cloud anymore with the stents they put in and she hates going to the cities. And this appears like it's going to be like this the rest of her life!😣

Morning boys.  Kind of cloudy here now.  With any luck the main snow will stay south of us.  Not a lot of snow on the river so could get my house off easy but will fish till end of Feb.  They screwed us with the catch and release only starting March 1.  With any intelligence at all it should have said open water fishing only.  But no end our ice fishing early so people can harass the spawning walleyes.  Makes no sense at all.  Why doesn't the whole state get to catch and release spawning walleyes in the spring?  Why just here?  Ok enough of that.  Gonna hit the landfill today and stop and get some bakery bread on the way home.  Maybe I will pick up something for the wife on Valentines Day.  You all have a good one.
