Yes, they are really dropping now. Getting to be a lot of bare trees. Supposed to be really windy today to, so that should take more of them off.
Hey look your bobber is up!

Top of the morrning gentlemen!!

I didn't mean to worry any of you, just been super busy and didn't have time to try find my password for here. I just found it a few minutes ago, glad I write them down  :bonk:  Despite not being able to log in, I did check into here from time to time over the summer to check on new recipes and see how all of you are doing and what you've been up to.

I better head back out to the field and chisel plow some more mud. I'll check back in later tonight.

Good to hear from ya lbbg!!! Man are the leaves pouring off the trees today, the neighbors ash trees are almost empty but my 3 maples are still green. Lots of mulching in my future. I told my daughter to hit this haunting of the basement head on, so we're gonna watch the conjuring 2 tonight with no lights on. Ya know what's funny about it she has a rabbit that used to be upstairs but now downstairs, he used to be really nice and friendly, now he's kinda mean. Maybe he's been seeing what's haunting the basement.

Glad to see you are ok Lbbg!!!!!  I got my furnace in my camper going.  Rubbed the bottom portion of the pic below.  The top piece is the pilot and the bottom part is I dont know.  What is the bottom piece in this picture?  I did  use some steel wool on that bottom piece but it was hard to get to it with my fingers.  Is that bottom piece the Thermocouple and at the end of it, is that supposed to have a hole in it or does the pilot light heat that thing up.  good luck.

Piolet light heats the thremo cupler, once hot enough, the thermo allows fule to the main burner. Good call on that dew, Ive had snap disks in my pleet burner get sooty and need more heat to open, thus allow the flame to go out, same senario. glad its running reiny

Good morning gentlemen! You too smurf and reb ;) ;). Almost out the door to go hunt ducks this morning. The temp is beautiful and balmy this morning-- 52 according to my trusty thermometer.

I have had the smoker fired up twice this fall. Once to do some goose jerky, and once to add a little smome to a pork roast before I put it in the crockpot. I've got a bunch of other smoker projects planned for this fall/ winter too.

I hope you all have a great day and I'll try check in again after I'm done with ducks.

Good morning.  I am the first one up today.  Couldn't wait for Sat so I could sleep late.  Now I can't sleep.  Got coffee on.  Will have my shot of raw honey in it again.  Good stuff.  We are heading to I Falls to do some shopping today.  It is usually a fun trip.  Nice to get out of town for awhile.  We like to shop local but save a bundle at the Falls so we need to do it.  Yup the leaves are really dropping now.  Lots of wind yesterday too.  Reminds me of the Fleetwood Mac song "Bare Trees".  Man was Stevie Nicks a hottie back then.  She must have bought a smoker and started eating well after that.     I have to admit I am not as slim and trim as I once was neither.  I feel great so that is the main thing.  So "gluttonous" may be a good word for a Sat.  To eat or drink excessivley, or to be greedy.  We should all be able to attain that goal to some extent today.  What do you think Rebs?  So it is actually a good word, sort of a reward for working all week.  See we can rationalize anything if we really try hard enough.

I was going to be gluttonous for punishment today, but changed my mind. Last night in the stand, I felt like a balloon in a wind tunnel. This morning, I got ready to go out, but it's still windy, and also drissling. So, nope, I ain't sitting in the rain. I did see 11 deer last night, but nothing close enough to stick, and not one was a legal buck.

Coffee for now, then out to the barn to finish winterizing toys.
Have a great day boys!

Morning folks! Nice new ride there, boarski. Good to see lbbg's back in the loop again. Sounds like everyone has some fun stuff planned for the day, and sounds like Boober will be a  gluttonous food machine at a wedding today. I'm not big on weddings; most of them get divorced later anyway. I always said the only difference between a wedding and a funeral is that the funeral has better sandwiches.  ;)
An amazing 62* here and windy as a cow. No plans for me today. S[lurged and picked upa on-sale NY strip steak yday.  Grabbed some potatos and sour cream, too. Steak, baked tater with sour cream, and I still have some early girl mato's left to slice. Enjoy the day guys!

That's a hot little number boar. Wife ain't bad either!  ;) :happy1: I hear ya Reb. I'm busy playing paperwork catch up (not KATCHUP glenn) after a week of soil sampling and other assorted nonsense. Got my proposed health insurance bill yesterday. Needless to say I am after someone's hide. I heard some say on TV last night that theirs had gone up 50 - 70%. Mine effin' doubled and will be $800 a month more than my mortgage. It is sincerely tempting to just go without, pay out of pocket and pay the penalty if I get caught and call it money in the bank. In the meantime before I sign up for anything, I am lighting up every elected official I can find the email address and phone # for, especially those who thought this Obamacare nonsense was a good idea. Time for the blame game is over. Fix this mess.
