Mornin'! First off, thanks all you guys for the condolences on our loss at the ranch. Know I can always count on you to cheer me up. Secondly, get better glenn. We have a lot of picking on you to do yet and it won't be nearly as fun if you croak on us. But we'll still try!  Lastly, stay inside and stay warm whenever possible today. Was -5 and windier than hell at choretime but I know it's a lot colder to the north. I kept telling my self that as I was peeling layers of hay off the round bale with the pitchfork and tossing them into the mangers. It was nothing like when I was a ND resident living out on the prairie 6 miles from the Canadian border though. Now that was effin' cold!

she went to the doc when we got back yesterday....they seem to think she had influenza.......but was 2 late to test for it???????? guess ya gotta go in within 2 days of getting sick, or and she has a sinus infection! right now i just plain feel like SH!T!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully it is making some ice with even with the new insulation blanket on the ice. Kids and grandkids are coming up tonight, going to have our xmas this weekend. morning all, up and at em and ready for the day, robert is still sleeping, he so cute when he sleeps, little snore bubbles co.ing out of his mouth. ahhhhhh pout. well its off the the bulk tanks to pull my hose, boy i tell,  nuthing more madding than pullin a hose 75 yrads thru some ones yard tho their tank to find out it dont reach then wind it back up to reposiition, and finally hook up and find out its not our tank. some people.. have a great day guys!

Jan 1 2017 First Walleye of the Year Champion. Me

Fished three days a bit on Kabekona. First couple days caught 4 each day around sundown and some tullies mixed in. Tuesday was pretty cold heading in. I'm not an ice fishing fan but getting out 3-4 times a year I s ok.  That jacket in photo is a relic Sons of American Legion jacket that I'm pretty sure could be a collectors item.

Mornin'! Lookin' good LL. All that sex is apparently paying off!  -6 at choretime. Got them done, muddled my way through filling the birdfeeders & some semblance of breakfast then bopped in to work to sign the guestbook. Not sure why I came in other than to pay some bills, do some writing, drink coffee and stay warm. Keeps me from being tempted to go outside to try to do something I guess. Looking forward to more coffee then hearing from robert when he wakes up. Stay warm everyone!

-11* here in CAWchester.  I know it's gotta be colder up by everyone else. My deck sure is giving a good *POP*CRACK* every now and then. Odd. It's 25 years old, and built like a brick s**t house. No scrawny 4 x 4 posts or those "treated deck boards" on this. 6x''s and  1 1/2" x 6 deck boards.   You'd think it woulda done all it's popping and cracking by now. Gotta head out to Wallace World to get some rations and pick up a bday card for my "up north" cousin. Living up by y'all. Wish I was. Chicken noodle soup thawing out for tonite, that should hit the spot. Sure glad I cooked up all those batches of  different soups and froze all of it in bowl size containers. Freezer is full of 'em. Froze a half ham this summer, that's thawing for the weekend, along with some chicky thighs and wingettes. Might toss those on the Weber if it gets above 10*.  Have a good one guys, stay warm.

me and the wife along with robert are heading to rednthis weekend to fish with some family that lives in kelliher, robert really wants to go see cookie but i had to put my fin down, i mean my foot down, pout cant always get what they want. i promised id bring him to ice  a palooza.next weekend. he settled down after that, use i bought him a bottle of fire ball for the weekend you should have seen his little barbles perck up. awwwww pout huh?  hope yu guys have a great day. !

Reb you must be sneaking someone into the love palace to be going through all of that food.....   I heard on the radio that there is a Norovirus explosion in Rochester.....   I thought of you and Del.  Be careful..  It is -26.7 here in paradise this morning.  I am seriously thinking of taking a vacation day.  The 94 Ford has not been heating cooling properly this season.  I put in a new thermostat and it didn't help.  The gauge hardly hits the bottom of the  normal range.  The new thermo didn't change anything.  The heater is warm but the gauge temp worries me some.  Hence me wanting an auto thread for some advice....  Maybe it is the sending unit???
AND I did start the pellet heater in the front room last night.  It is nice and cozy now.

Noro explosion?? Ewwwww...that sounds like the shi...er, bad deal! I don't eat out anyway; my cooking is far superior.    Living off whats in my freezer; that's why I fill it to the top with summer/fall meat specials. And my soups/chili.  I haven't bought meat since this Fall, with the exception of some more bacon that went on sale. 5 pks of that left in freezer.
On that heat thing, LPS, other things to check: water pump...radiator cap pressure loss (common problem, buy new one)...sending unit. Any leaks anywhere? Could also be a head gasket, let's hope not..does it cool properly? If it does, and just lousy heat, possible plugged heater core looking or a backflush.  Heat control valve. Start with those things. Good luck!
