Nope. I don't want any crows.    I wonder what would happen if you took their favorite food, french fries or corn or something, and mixed it with something toxic like Golden Malrin or zinc phosphide, and put it out in the yard someplace where pets couldn't get it.   Just idle curiosity, asking for a friend.

Good morning all, getting an early start to the day today. It's going to be 66 here today so I plan to get supplies to the shop, get the grocery shopping done, and detail the car before 10:00 so I can get 9 holes in before dark, there are two courses around that if there is no snow on the ground they are open. I never though that I'd be golfing in January, the only downfall is no carts. Well y'all have a great day

35 to start again today. A damp day yesterday as the downspouts ran all day & we lost a chunk of our snow piles. It was a little slippery early on but stayed too warm to be too bad. Hard to believe what it was like just 8-10 days ago. Hope you have a good 1

Good Morning everyone,
Happy that my week of single parenthood is coming to an end today.  My two boys were great all week, but we all miss mom!  My wife said the inaguration was an amazing thing to witness first-hand.  She got to go to one of the balls, but because she was chaperoning a bunch of Junior and Senior high schoolers that had been up since 5:00 am to get into the inaguration, I don't think they stayed out too late.

Think we'll make some pork chops and gravy over rice for supper for her return!

Goo' morning from Swampville. Still raining down here. 36* Lost most of the ice yday, downspouts were trickling water all day. Got the big chunks of ice pried up and broken up at the end of the driveway. Haven't heard any Spring predics yet, but I'm gonna give mine right now...I think it's gonna be another El Soggo down here. Good to get rid of this snow and ice now, but the rain is also standing in puddles in the frozen yard. And February and big dump March aren't even here yet...maybe I shoulda kept the boat.  Have a good one, guys.

Ok got it.  That makes sense.  Thanks Glenn.  Rebs must throw a lot of fries out his window.  33 here this morning.  Rained hard yesterday.  I bet we would have a foot of snow if it had been colder.  Man have the snowbanks shrunk here.  Feels like a spring day here.  We will take a walk down to the fish house in a while.  The dogs love it and a little exercise doesn't hurt neither.  I tore a muscle in my right arm the other day so Dr said no lifting so won't be ice fishing for a couple of weeks.  Darn.  Well I will work on some Ice Rigs, that will keep me busy.  Maybe go for a ride too and see what is happening on the lake.

Internet service w/Century Dink has been off since yesterday. Ready to be done with them, the land line and all their BS. Good riddance.

Dotch, we got Century Dink as well....that company pisses me off on a monthly bases....bill goes up and down monthly, service sucks....never get to talk to a human (at least not from this country) the bill goes down for a month then jacks up higher the next....then, the service gets interrupted, and the sill charge ya...then you call for repair, and they charge ya for that.....

I feel for ya bud! I dislike that company!

Funny you guys mentioned it. We dumped ours about a month ago, no land line phone anymore.  Everything is thru cable and as of now saving some bucks monthly... until that gets upped. tut_tut-3315.gif

Very good point HD.  The city slicker I am should have known better. At the cabin were lucky to get 4 channels on a good day, but I keep telling the kids ...and wife , that I didn't come out here to watch TV, and burn up data.

I grew up with AT&T as my father, uncle etc  working there  Great company.  That is Century Tel now.  Not sure what is going on now.  We switched to the local small town phone and internet last year.  We are saving $40 a month and have faster internet and more reliable service.  Too bad cuz one of my friends works for Century Tel...

I tried that.  Now we have dish and century link dsl, to go with the land line phone at the cabin.   My dsl has been rock solid up there, although it is summer when I use it.   

Our cell service, on the other hand, is sort of iffy.   There is a hill between us and the tower.   Supposedly a new tower going up closer, but seems to be little action actually happening.

Probably try to get our walk in shortly to settle the pooch down some, he keeps dropping hints by bringing me shoes while I read the paper.. later fellas!

Nice about the dog Bobber.  They keep us young don't they?  It is 37 here and just starting to get foggy now.  Having coffee and watching hunting and fishing shows.  That is until the wife takes over the controls.  Looking forward to football today.  So far just going to take it easy today.  Took the wife for a ride out on the lake yesterday.  Lots of water and slush out there.  After about 4 miles she had her eyes closed and said she had chest pains...  lolol  She said it was anxiety attack from us in the ice.   lol  Well nice me I turned around and we headed back in.  I had seen enough too.  Man it was rough in spots.  Could only go at an idle so as to not wreck the front end of the Ford....   Not that you can wreck a Ford anyways.  :-)  Well today is lasagna day.  The ribs turned out great yesterday.

I've got one plan completed so far today.  I took Nagatha 2 apart to see why the auger wasn't turning.  There was a bad felt bushing causing the auger motor not to turn.  I was guessing the auger motor was going to be shot before I started the tear down.  I fixed the bushing and she was smomen more then Glenn at a right to work gathering.  Now to find that package of steaks I won at the meat raffle a few weeks back.  This afternoon I have to junior to basketball practice.  Have a good one fellas.
