Every farm yard has that one shade tree that compliments the house and the whole place. We lost ours on Sunday's storm. What a mess.

Oh no....really sorry to hear that, Roony. I lost my big old maple that was in the center of my yard in a storm years go. Made me sick. I know how ya feel. Glad the house and you are OK. That's the most important thing.

Man that is a lot of water HD.  A few years ago we got 3.5" in one day.  One heck of an event.

Another cloudy morning here.  Got maybe 1/2" of rain here in the last two days.  Just a nice amount.  Gonna be about 73 here today.  Perfect.  I actually had to wear a jacket yesterday.  May go to Menagha camping this weekend.  Nice campgrounds there.  We have a family reunion in the area so will work out great.  Ya there hasn't been many calm days around here JB.

So this cold weather  has something to do with global warming? I had 3 layers on when I was mowing at the golf course yesterday. Heading up to mow the ball fields here in town in a bit and will being warring gloves?

Gray, misty, & 53 for us to start. Went to GR yday as we needed a few things, it was a cool wet day too. We had just .4 yday morning & there appears to be about .2 more in the gauge today. Thought about going out :fishing: but it was a little to wet & windy for me, maybe later. I would like to do some mowing today but not if it stays this wet. Not much else on my list for today. Good luck wid dat, Glenn.   65*, gray, and 92* hume. Thought that was supposed to blow away. Almost 30 degrees cooler than yday. Sure messes up the sinuses. If the yard ever dries out, gonna do some mowing. Not much else on the schedule for today... other than to whip up some of Del's favorites, 'cukes in sauce.  :coffee:

Colder here as well.  Kind of reminds me of when I lived in Duluth as a kid.  They are more used to this change than we are.  Still rather live there.  I feel the most comfort and peace when I'm deep in the Arrowhead wilderness.  Went to the doc this morning to check on my blood pressure and ticker.  As usual the blood pressure was a little high when I got there but normal when I left.  happens every time.  Doc said she just got a smoker and so far have ruined the ribs she tried.

She didn't take her time is what I found out.  I gave her a run down on how to do it.  Turned off the air conditioner.  No brainer.  Having been in retail for many years I got sick of people complaining in the summer it's too hot and then in the winter it's too cold.  Same folks all the time.  This is Minnesota.  Ya I don't like hot weather and real cold winters but when I get up in the morning and am still looking down at the turf,  everything good.  Temperature changes like we had from yesterday to today are unusual.  I remember camping in August up north and when we got up one morning it was 28 degrees.  Did not want to get out of that sleeping bag except to take a wizz.  good luck.

Don't mind the cold a bit. Used to cross-country ski on moonlit nites when it was below zero.  (an awesome experience!) Love da ice fishing in my porty. It's the humidity and 90's that bother me....makes it tough for me to breathe.  What bugs me is people whining about cold and snow...."I hate the cold and snow"...duh...where do you live, dopey?!    :doah:

Yup me to Minn all the way here too.  Yes I will bitch when we have a long drawn out winter or when we have a long hot spell but it is just something to talk about.  We talk about Seattle area for weather or Maine but would not ever really do it.  Maybe just for a vacation.
