I need to finish cleaning up after bingo and put stuff away. Also build a step for the skid loader. Thought it was a pain to get in and out of and then I noticed four holes in the front of the arms. I looked at a similar rig online and sure enough there's a step. So since some genius decided to remove the original one I'll have to fab one up. Should keep me out of trouble for a bit. Later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning all, we had 20 on my 1st trip out to the garage & we're headed for 46. Not much for wind today either. :happy1: I've got a couple things to get me outside & moving early today & I'll have to see where that takes me. No more now, have a good day.

Morning boys.  I am back and we have 18 here now. We are hoping for 45 and cloudy they say.  I hope they are right.  The drive down was a trip.  Got about 10 miles south of here and realized a plow was ahead of us but a mile or two of vehicles were ahead of us and we were going about 30 and down to 20 by the time we got to Kelliher.  There had to be 10-12" of snow in the other lane.  When vehicles came north they were struggling to even stay in their lane.  South of there the roads had been plowed both lanes.  But there was a few inches of slush so still slow going till Deer River.  We left 2 hours early and glad we did.  They took more xrays and have to go back to check my nerve activity going to my sciatica.  ???   Seems like a sharp guy so will just go with his flow.   I put a heat lamp and cushions and blankets in the dog kennel inside and the dogs looked fine when we got home.  Lots of wild hugging and dogs screaming with happiness when we pulled up.  LOLOL  Also have a heated water pail that holds 2 gallons and it only had a couple of inches left so they drank a lot of water. We took 53 up to I Falls on the way home.  Much better roads that way.  Well seems like we were gone for a week. LOL  Good to be home.  Have a great Tuesday.

I was wondering how it went for you, LPS, as our weather was nasty about the time you sounded like you were headed out. Good to hear you made it!!

Love them Glenn.  They seem pretty tired today.  LOL  We barely have 2" of snow from the last blast here but still snow from before.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 31 at choretime heading for a high around fitty. Partly sunny so that's a plus after a cloudy start. A chance for some showers late afternoon & into the overnite. Copy written, spellchecked & proofed so that's outta the way for another week. On to bigger & better things. Got some pussy willows harvested last nite. The wind raised hob with the nicest ones since my earlier visit. Knocked a bunch of the catkins off but got the nicest ones I could. The warmer temps last week blew a few of them over the dam too so it'll likely be a short harvest window this year. My prices will be up. Trump's fault.  :coffee:

Morning boys. 29 here and heading for 43 it says. We over achieved yesterday. Maybe that will happen again today. Put some wood in the wood shed last night. Will most likely cut tonight and put more in the shed. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Made six stops in town yesterday annnddd got the bingo stuff put away. I found a cutting edge for skid loader laying on the apron of the garage when I got home too. The guy I bought it from dropped it off while I was in town so there's another project for today or whenever. Later....... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin boys, we had 28 @ 1st peek & they say we should see 50. The driveway & much of the lot around the cabin has already lost most of last weekend's snow. The other end has a lot more trees, so there's still some down there. Both our lists are pretty short, but we're still headed for GR today. Have a great day!!

Morning boys. We are sitting at 22 and may see 51 today.  Not windy, yet.  Still snow here but more dark spots of ground showing up.  That will help the thaw.  No big plans for the day.  Make more little streams of water to drain it off the driveway.  That is always the fun thing in spring.  You all have a good one.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 29 at choretime, heading for a high in the mid-fitties. Frosty this a.m. Another lamb born overnite. Luckily the wife took care of it so I didn't have to mess with it. Got more pussy willows harvested last nite. More of a variety of lengths than some years & will probably be the last of this particular biotype. There are several more bushes down in the wetland area that have smaller, more delicate catkins & haven't popped open yet. I suspect with the forecast heat on Friday in the upper 70's, we could see them open up. The temps are supposed to moderate again so I'll likely get a crack at them. Lotsa rooster pheasants crowing down there and there were a couple of them sparring on the edge of the yard. Fun to watch.

Morning boys. 27 here and heading for 33 it says. Back to mid 30s now for a few days. Yesterday was sure nice. Except for the wind. Cut up a tank of firewood last night. So now I have a bunch ready to load into the wood shed. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  We have 24 here and hopefully will get up to 41.  The next day in the 40's will be next week.  Darn.  May see some moisture on Fri too.  I did a little tree cutting yesterday.  Have a boxelder rubbing on one of our big pines so it's a goner.  Will turn it into campfire wood.  Lot of melt on top of the ice on the river yesterday.  Still lots of ice.  You all have a good one.

Mornin gang,  we had 30 @ 1st peek & we're s'posed to see 49. Yeah, JB that wind sure picked up yday as it was pretty nice when we were in GR, kind of looked like it swung to the NW here too. We've got a Critical Fire Conditions Warning here again today as well. It looked like L&M was doing inventory yday to me, as there were extra people in every department on computers. Everywhere else was pretty busy too except for WM. It didn't look like they had the normal # of "Personal Shoppers" yday to me.  Got a couple smalls to get me going again today & will go from there. Have a good day.

My "good used" cutting edge was a no go. I'll have to stop at Alex Power or Tools and More to see if they have one. Need to go to post office too today. I did get the garage kind of cleaned up yesterday, ran the snowmobile, four wheeler and the generator for bit and then put them away. swept the floor. Later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning All.  Actually a nice morning at 32 already and heading for 40 they say.  They said that yesterday too and we had just about 50.   I have been requested to attend the Open House at Rays Marine today.  I think I'm cooking hotdogs and burgers.  Or just talking boats
Have a great day !!!

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 41 at choretime heading for a high in the low sissties! Made fitty nine yesserday. .03" of rain at the ranch & .01" in Bugtussle from passing showers overnite & early this a.m. Clearing off now so we have that to look forward to. Supposed to make the low 80's tomorrow then it's back to the regularly scheduled programming with rain & snow thru the first half of the week. Was amazing how much it greened up yesterday once it warmed up. Dump some rain & warm temps on things and it'll pop. Still waiting on the one ewe to lamb yet. My bro is coming up from IA at lunchtime so will need to feed the bottle lamb & let Poppy out to poop 1st. Need to put a round bale in the main lot later this afternoon. Prolly won't be time for a glenn nap today.

Yesterday I tackled the thankless job of getting most of the crushed rock off the lawn. Most of it was deposited there by me after the March 5th snowstorm. I agree that the grass will be greening up soon. I especially noticed it changing where the snow piles were.

Scenic I bought my Sport Angler there in 2020.  Love it.  Mike was the guy there then.  And Brandon.  Good guys.  If I was in the area I would stop by.  Have fun.
