It is Barry with an a.  I lived in Stillwater for about 15 years.  Nice place to live.   I seriously can't count the times I have had people come up and start talking to me believing I was someone they knew real well.  Grew up in Luverne.  Also a real nice town.  Recently I was in the post office here and an older woman came right up and starting talking about the family and I had no idea who she was.  I smiled cuz it is really funny and told her I don't think I know you.  She got so embarrassed.  lol
I bet she recognized you and that mustache from some porn flick she once watched. Or thought she did.  ;)
Maybe thats where the name Barry wit a A came into play?? Guess I wont ask a middle or last name?? LPS works for now,Well at least until the whole story comes out??? RIGHT Barry wit a A

Braised beef ribs and taters. I made a purée of onion, carrots and celery then sautéed till moisture was gone added tomato paste, beef broth and two cans of beer. Poured over beef ribs added a little water then cooked til tender. Pulled ribs and made a flour slurry to thicken up juices returned ribs and baked another 20 minutes. I don't know if the store made a mistake or just one heck of a deal but the ribs were $.99 a pound packaged 2slabs per pack averaging about 9 lbs per. The freezer is full of ribs for the winter  :happy1:

Either mislabeled or expired....   Either way, a real deal.

Beef anything for 99 cents is a deal.

No, no meat. Just a pile of stinkin' gnawed bones. Just what you needed to bag up and make soup with that botulism toy of yours.

No doubt about it coffee. Them's look excellent!

And there may be some deals to be had on beef. Price of corn is one reason. Everyone and their dog is talking about feeding out some beef to burn through some cheap corn now. Wheat is also cheap so some of that will be fed to the south as well. Plus what's out there now is coming to market heavy because of the feed price. Normally 1300 - 1400 lbs on the hoof when they go to market. A friend of mine asked a bunch of us to guess what the average weight was on his last semi load. None of us got close. Slightly over 1600 lbs per head.

Dayim! That looks excellent Boober! Like your choice of spices along with (and especially) Swiss cheese. The wife makes some with Jimmy Dean's pork sausage which aren't bad but they're not seasoned much. I don't complain though since I didn't have to make them. I have to remember too she's half Norwegian. She was taught at a young age if it isn't white, don't eat it!

Ya, stuffed peppers , one of my favorites.  Look great!!!  I made some stroganoff from scratch yesterday.  Used a recipe and that recipe was very good.  Used pre-cut stew meat instead of chuck roast because they were both the same price.  Less waste with the stew meat.  Garlic, port wine, worcestershire sauce, thyme leaves, mushrooms, paprika, Kosher salt, brlack pepper, cream cheese, sour cream and parsley make up the ingredients.  when done, over noodles it goes.  good luck.

Haven't made Swedish meatballs in a long time.  Thanks for the idea though.  I will have to look through my stuff on how I made the last batch.  They would go good with mashed potatoes. Lot's of sauce.  good luck.

Hokay!!! Here's one of my recipes for the soup ya just haveta have on a cold day...

Reb's Smokey Bean 'n Ham  soup

1 bag of Navy or Great Northern beans ( they vary from 16 oz to 20 oz bags)
3 smoked ham hocks plus ham trimmings or chunks (I save and freeze ham bones and trimmings for this reason)
  1 tsp salt
  1/2 tsp Basil
  1/4 tsp Rosemary
  6-8 whole peppercorns
2 Qts (8 cups) of water
1 large white or yellow onion, chopped med coarse
2-3 ribs of celery, diced, should equal 3/4 to a full cup
baby carrots, chopped..should equal one full cup after chopped
  1/8 tsp liquid hickory smoke

Soak beans overnite in 2 qts water; drain. Combine the first seven items, except the ham chunks, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook for 2 hrs, stirring occasionally.  Remove hocks and trim off meat. Discard hocks. Stir in onion, celery, carrots, liquid smoke, ham chunks and meat from hocks. Continue simmering covered for half hour or until veggies are tender. Remove cover and let soup thicken to desired consistency. (I like mine thick) Team up with some crusty coarse bread and some cheese slices, and enjoy!  ;)
