We used to buy chorizo quite a bit  back in the day, it would really wake up a batch of goulash..

All this food talk, pictures is making me hungry....

might head to the deli for corned beef on rye for lunch today...don't know why but jewish deli's have the best corned beef (unblessed) but adding horseradish white cheese is a must.

How was that chorizo Mike?  Don't think I have ever actually had it. Today I am going to make a big batch of chili.  Have some garlic pork sausage and some ground beef for it.  Will also add carrots to it.  I started that when I had some to get rid of so threw them in and ever since it is my go to thing.
We put carrots in our chili also.  :happy1:

I always thought shete on a shingle was chipped beef/cheese sauce? guess it really doesn't matter as this picture looks good enough to eat.

Only rich people used chipped beef, us poor folks had to use Buddig.

So awhile back I think it was SteveO that posted the pick of the braised brisket that looked so good.  How was it?  Looked nice and juicy.  How long did you cook that?

It has been the gold standard for crap on a shingle for 50 years at least.

my sheltered upbringing....as a kid I was lucky to get cream cheese on toast for lunch every so often, let alone have chip meat of some sort in it.haha life was simple back then.

Go figure,  just before st patty day brisket flat were around 12 bucks a #, Costco is down to 8 yesterday so mamma picked up a 7 #er. Along with some chicken ties but she also grabbed a turkey loin, which I'm not to sure about. It's getting wrapped in bacon so that should help..

SO I am currently munching on a bag of Ocean Spray Craisins that are infused with blueberry juice.  It doesn't get much better than that combo.  Well I just happened to see they expired Dec 7 2019.  Just a minute I need another handfull. They taste great!  Now I am second thinking my decision that they are fine since they were not previously opened.  If I don't appear tomorrow we will know the answer to the question.  SO would you eat them???   :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

After eating 1/2 of a yogurt several weeks back that expired around Thanksgiving,  I've been paying more attention.  Been seeing even salad dressing on the shelves at cub that are expired..
