Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! Fitty seffen at choretime heading for a high in the low 80's. Lotsa things I could do but haven't taken aim at anything just yet. Thinking I'll clean up the Studebaker & take it out later this afternoon. Should haul some pumpkins over to my friend's place too. Scoped his place out yesterday & saw he had none. Think it was 6 years ago during harvest he came home to find his wife dead on the floor. I worry about him. Gotta be a tough time.

Got home from Hubbard co. No tail lights on trailer and a bolt fell out of one of fenders. Tomorrow’s project. I use this trailer a lot. I also get to watch the sewer get put in the ditch in front of the house tomorrow too. Go Vikes, later…… :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys. 47 here and supposed to be well into the 60s again today. Sure was a nice day yesterday except for the ending of the Vikes game. Lots of beetles here to. Sprayed the builds with Tempo again. That makes most of them dead beetles. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Mornin guys, 46 for our start & 74 will be our high, they're sayin. Had a bunch of those beetles on our picture window in the basement yday afternoon too. Going to be another nice 1 today & we're going to put the boat to bed soon, so it looks like we'll be taking a road trip today. We're headed for URL as the wind isn't supposed to be too bad & we haven't been up there for a couple years now. Most everything is packed, so we just need to hook up to the boat. It starts getting light ~ 7 here these days so I'm hoping to be on the road by 7:30-8. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

Morning boys. We have 36 and may get close to 70 today.  Taking a friend fishing this afternoon so looking forward to that.  Temps will be dropping after today but still not bad.  I am going to pull my boat and dock earlier this year too.  Not as much fun doing it when it is cold any more.  I have other things to do to.  Had a nice fire after the game yesterday.  Was a perfect day.  Have a nice day.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 59 at choretime heading for a high in the low 80's. One more day of summer & we begin another descent into fall. I see some better odds of rain come Thursday for here. Also see some chance of snow for our Flanders destination Tuesday nite. Should be gone by Thursday nite when we arrive there. Otherwise more soil sampling for a few days. Annual blood test tomorrow so have to study for that.

I have a one floor house and wondered what it would cost to have someone else paint it.  Not sure if my back can handle it.  One estimate is $3,800 for labor and another $500 for paint.  Ouch!!  I thought half that for labor.

Morning boys.  We have 59 now and what JB says for the day.  Was a beautiful afternoon on the river yesterday.  Were in short sleeve shirts.  Caught a limit of 18-19" fish. Great for the last nice day.  Our new up right freezer will be delivered around 10 this morning.  We are looing forward to it.  Has been hard to get along without it.  The chest freezer just doesn't do it.  I hope you all have a good day too.

Let’s see if this works, having some internet issues here. These yellow and black toys in the front yard may have something to do with it. Hope to score the culvert from driveway when they are done today. Later….

Mornin all, 63 here now & that looks like it could also be the high. Rain here by 11 or 12 today too. I know what you mean about those bugs mike as my windshield was terrible by the time we got home yday. I was even afraid to use the wipers to clean 'em off as I figured it would just make it worse. Got a few things on my list today but not sure where I'll start yet. Have a good day.

Morning boys. 38 here to start the day and heading for 48 it says. Good thing I got the wood boiler fired up. I replaced the dash cluster in that Envoy last night. Nice to see everything working. Well, almost. The gas gauge is still not working. So it is either the sending unit or crusty wire/connection messed up. I knew this rig would be a little bit of a project. So just pecking away at them. Well, just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Well the big yellow toys are almost to the other end of the property. The old culvert came out of the driveway and was gone in about 10 seconds. Aprons too. I have a use for it so we’re going to have a chat with the boss. Later……. :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin boys, 37 here & we might make it to 49. The boat motor got winterized yday, so taking the batteries out is about all that's left there. Did a bit more for getting the dock out too. With the forecast that might wait til' early next week. We too are headed to town today. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

Mornin' gulag comrades! 4D4 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-fitties. Summer's over again until next week anyway. Blood tests came back pretty good from yesterday so have to be happy about that. Getting fired up for a northern excursion again. Weather looks cooler but good otherwise. Looking forward to getting away after a month of grinding away. Hope the slash piles are bountiful & close by so we don't have to haul wood too far. We've weeded out almost everything we can cut near the cabin without plopping something on it. In the meantime, trying to keep bored cash grain farmers out of trouble by giving them something constructive to do. Plenty of dry bulk fertilizer could be spread and worked in yet. Not surprisingly, sounds like the anhydrous ammonia isn't going on very well. Soil is too dry and too hard in places so it's gassing back out. Sorta defeats the purpose.
