Leaf pick up??! Wish we had that here!! Can't even put twigs in the trash around here! There's even a new city ordinance about cleaning the leaves OFF YOUR CURB...the little Pelican sweeper that drives by even has "CLEAN YOUR CURB" in big letters on the front of it.  Now I'm supposed to sweep the street, too?  I thought that's what the sweeper was supposed to do?! A Tree city USA, and ya have to take any brush or wood to the brush dump and pay to dump it...
O ya, good morning..... :azn:

the only leaf pick up here is the wind blowing them around or the lawn mower making short work of them!!! :rotflmao:

They do a Spring Clean Up too, Reb. You can take just about anything you want to get rid of & put it on the curb. They will come around with front end loaders & dump trucks , pick it up up, & haul it to the land fill. Everybody pays a small fee that's added to your utility bill throughout the year. Just don't set out tires, paint, & most of your other landfill no-no's as they will be left sitting there unless 1 of the army of scavengers going around decides they want it. The city is in charge of the leaf pick up but the city helps the local waste management company with the other.

I suppose you train all YOUR neighbors leaves to all stay in their yard right, glenn : :doah:  :bonk: :moon: :moon: ;) :rotflmao: Are they union?  2 huge old maples out back, usually have leaves long after all the other trees in the neighborhood are bare. No corn in the fields down here ;), there was from just north of the cities down to about Albert Lea.

Yesterday it was 22 here in the morning.  I thought I could see a skim of ice but at 22 found it hard to believe.  ?????  The wife just texted me that it is 7 degrees out.  Our thermometer is wrong.  How about that.  It is digital and put batteries in it not long ago.  Never had one go bad before.  Got sausage links in the pan heating up.  Gonna be a great breakfast.  One more cup of coffee with honey it it for me...   :happy1:

Every yard here has at least two huge maples in it, mine no longer has any trees except my apple and a blue spruce.  But, my leaves are deeper than crap, and none of  'em are mine!  :mad1:   :banghead:

Not so bad if yer physically able to take care of 'em, but when ya can't and haveta hire it done, that's what sucks.  Feel like sendin' the bill to the neighbors. They can split it.

I think that slingin' a blower around for 2 hrs is almost more work than rakin'! I did that part while my buddy mowed/mulched, after he blew all the crud/mud/goo/leaves outta the gutters all over the deck and sidewalk. Easiest way is walk the roof with the blower. Just do NOT be standing below on the deck when he comes around the corner.  :doah:

Morning guys, you too Glenn.  ;) 26* right now and sunny here; everything's still white. Hard frost. Looking cold all week, in the 20's for a high. Down here, that's unusual when are average is 40*. Gonna be one of the earliest ice years I predict.
Ditch ponds are froze over. A take it easy and take lotsa Advil for me day...everything's all done. Have a good day all.  :coffee:
