Some days it feels like the midnight shift. Just mondays and thursdays I'm here before 3am for the milk and ice orders, the rest of the week I get here at 4:15 so three days I get to sleep in a little. It's rough in the summertime when I'm trying to go to sleep and the sun is shining brightly in the bedroom and the neighborhood kids are still out playing or the neighbors are out cutting grass

Morning Gents. 39 here this morning. The ice is starting to get some bigger holes in it over the sand bars yesterday. I am thinking the shoreline could open up by the end of the week. Time to star thinking about getting the dock tuned up. Won't be to much longer and it will be time for that to go back in. Another day in paradise. Have a good one!!

Another beautiful day here too JB.  The dock is almost out of the ice.  May be able to push it out in a day or two.  Looks like the water is dirty now.  Haven't seen too much wood coming down the river yet.  Sure low too.

Morning guys, 34 here at the moment. Spent some time down on the shore yesterday as I'm trying to improve 1 of the mods we've made to our lift & we have ~ 3' of water along the edge here. I'll be messin with that again today as I'm only about 1/2 way done. Getting tired of walking around the blower in the garage too, so will be trying to at least get that off there. The lake here is up. Hope you enjoy your day

Good morning, looking at 68 and sunny here today. Personal tax day today, shops were done a while ago. After taxes I'll be looking for a large ham to smoke for Easter. We have a small family but we usually get the biggest ham they have then cut and freeze for the year. Can't wait for the smoked ham and split pea soup in about a month  hubba_hubba-404.gif

Great idea Coffee.  I am going to do that too now that you mention it.  I will try to buy a GOOD ham and not a cheapy like I usually do.  Special occasion.  Think I will cook it on the pellet smomer...  With hickory pellets.  The river came up a little more.  Just a few inches.  I guess that was enough to float some ice out of the Little Fork.  That was the word yesterday.  Will turn the dock out this weekend and maybe put a boat in the water.

Morning all. 27* here this morning. Looking like it is going to be nice and warm this weekend. I will need to throw a dart at the project board and see which project to tackle. Actually thinking I may tackle my wife's car. it has been leaking oil for have the winter onto the exhaust. It appears as though the valve covers gaskets need to be replaced. Fun, fun. Morning all, 30 to start our day, high in the 40's today. Another grocery run in to GR looks to be in the plans for today. Got the blower off, & the mower deck on the Husqvarna yesterday. Put 1 of my homemade brackets on the lift & it looks like that's going to work, so a little closer there. Nothin else here except hopin you have a good 1

BTW, saw our first tree swallows of the season this a.m. and heard the first western chorus frogs of the season behind the office this afternoon. Interesting to see if they crank it up tonight on the pond near the house. Our gray calico kitty popped sometime overnight so now we're on kitten search. Guessing they're under the manger in the mean ram pen.

Mornin gents, 29 for our start. Just a touch on the cool side yday, warmer today with the wind switching around to the south tonight for the warm up tomorrow. Looks to me like the DNR nets on Cutfoot will be going in soon as that has opened up more. No sign of the little trailer they use when they are going yet though. For those of you who've never seen it, if your in the area & they're netting , it's worth a few minutes to stop. Laundry day for me, see if I can get the other 1/2 of my mod for the lift finished too. Hope you have a good 1
